What a Paw-ty!

In October, we celebrated our youngest son's 2nd birthday. It's hard to believe how fast the last two years have passed. It seems that the only time I can get a blog post written is after having a birthday party. Party planning is always one of my favorite things to do during the year. This party was no different. Carson loves Paw Patrol so this was a fun party to plan. I started by adding a few of the characters to my balloon wreath for a front door pop of color.

During one of my Google searches, I came across a great idea to make paw prints on the sidewalk with chalk leading up to the party. I created a template on the computer and printed it out on card stock so that I could mass produce the prints quickly. I love how they turned out. *One of my top pins on my Pinterest page. I'm assuming others liked it as much as I did. I created a template if you would like a copy. 

I made signs on the computer and then accented them with the paw print stamps I ordered from Oriental Trading. These also were used for the party games and favors. They were perfect because they come in 6 colors. Get yours here. I found the dog bowls at my local Dollar Tree.

I borrowed the Lookout Tower from a friend so add some height to my food table.

         Paw print chocolate lolli-pops were a hit with the kids and so were the cupcakes.

 I ordered this book on Amazon for party guests to sign.

 To keep the kids entertained, we had 6 games and activities, one for each pup. 

The kids each had a card to get stamped after completing the games. See stamp card example.

The kids had to toss hula hoops around a blow up hydrant that I purchased on Amazon.

The table decorations I created for the tables in the garage I forgot to get pictures of so I had to pose them after the fact. It isn't easy to see by I used galvanized buckets and filled them with craft krinkle cut in each color. I then added each small pup to the can. They looked great and I had many compliments. 

Finally, each year I try to get a themed shirt made from an Etsy shop. My hope is to one day have them all put into a quilt for the boys when they are older.
